New instructional video: Easyhaler

A new instructional video is now available in the NAC’s ‘how-to’ video library that provides how-to use information about Orion Pharma’s Easyhaler dry powder inhalers for asthma and COPD.

The Bufomix Easyhaler and Salflumix Easyhaler, ICS/LABA products, were listed on the PBS in Australia in April 2024 and were featured in the NAC’s 2024 Asthma and COPD Medications Chart.  

The video provides steps and tips for patients using the inhaler to ensure correct device technique which is essential for optimal asthma management.

Important tips include: 

• Check the medication expiry date on the side of the device. 
• Do not open the foil bag until you’re ready to start using the inhaler because once opened, the inhaler has an expiry date.
• There is an area on the side of the inhaler where the date that the device was first opened can be written.
• Easyhaler requires shaking 3 to 5 times before loading a dose and the inhaler must be kept upright.
