The National Asthma Council Australia (NAC) has released an ‘Asthma in adults’ quick reference guide intended as a concise guide to the current NAC’s Australian Asthma Handbook.
The ‘Asthma in adults’ quick reference guide includes a summary of key recommendations and information on asthma in adults from the Australian Asthma Handbook.
It provides primary care health professionals with a ‘go-to’ reference to help with the diagnosis and management of asthma in adult patients. A quick reference guide for asthma in adolescents and children is also planned in the future.
The quick reference guide was developed by members of the NAC Guidelines Committee, including respiratory physicians, general practitioners, a nurse practitioner and a clinical pharmacist, together with A/Prof Debbie Rigby, Advanced Practice Pharmacist and NAC Clinical Executive Lead.
